#Strangetrees

One of the ways that an avid iPhoneography can get their work out there (in a fun way) is through Instagram's Weekend hashtag project. Every Friday, Instagram challenges their users to a weekend homework assignment, taking inspiration from subject matters as quirky  #soloparking or rote as #reflective. All you have to do is snap a picture based on your interpretation of the assignment and caption the photo with the hashtag subject line. Then, ten photos are selected on Monday morning to be featured on the website. Last weekend's challenge was called #strangetrees and it really just fell into my lap, having encountered a very strange-looking piece of art just the day before!
This was just about the most beautiful metal peace tree I've ever seen (reminds me of a necklace that I own) and I couldn't resist snapping a few shots. (Instagram'd this photo)

Though I submitted my strange tree but didn't end up getting featured on the site, here are some of my favorites out of the "chosen".
